Light has several effects on the organism. One of these is the increased activity of the fibroblast production when they are irradiated with a wavelength of 633nm. Photobiomodulation is an aesthetic treatment that stimulates this production. It is absolutely painless, non invasive and delivers good results starting with the first session, also improving the luminosity of the skin.

How does it work?
Collagen is a biological, autologous building block and important part of human skin which provides elasticity and strength to the skin. Fibroblasts (collagen producing cells) continuously produce new collagen fibres. By the increased generation of collagen little wrinkles are reduced, the skin is visibly tightened and the visual appearance of the skin is improved.

The mechanism of these solariums performs various types of treatments, depending on the needs of the client.
Many factors can influence duration and efficiency of the process, especially if you combine it with other types of treatments or specific diets.

Time of the exposure depends of the client’s phototype – this is why the optimal duration of the sun tanning treatment would be from 10 to 14 minutes, while the collagen treatment should last from 16 to 20 min.

Smart solarium technology allows the combination of these two treatments, representing the innovation in photobiomodulation technology.

The treatment consists of two stages:
Activation phase: by using a wavelength of 633 nm the production of fibroblasts is increased, which allows the production of the new collagen. During the stage one, our skin is being prepared to absorb UV rays.

Sun tanning phase:
Solarium deactivates the collagen light and turns to UV SAFE mode. Filtered UV rays penetrate through moisturized skin which reacts and tans.

The result of the treatment is tanned, healthy skin which doesn’t lose the strength of the collagen fibers, hence it is not loose. Treatment is suitable for younger and elder clients, given the fact that the skin condition is highly respected while kept in the best condition possible. Duration of the treatment depends of the client’s phototype and age, ranging from 16 to 20 min.

Maximum exposure:
The exposure ratio to UV rays and collagen is 50:50 %.

In order to obtain the best results we recommend to perform an exfoliating body treatment before the procedure.

It is not recommended to use any kind of a chemical peeling which could provoke photosensitive reactions. Also, by increasing the intake of antioxidants (especially vitamin C), the benefits of the photobiomodulation treatment are increased.
Any unwanted reaction it may occur results from the overexposure to the UV rays. Please be aware of this and respect your skin.
